Community
Transformation

Non-profit Organizations, City & Towns, Foundations,
and Cooperatives

DMC identifies issues at the heart of an organization’s challenges and develops strategies to address them. The solutions help transform organizations’ priorities, policies and programming.

Our work is grounded in helping organizations bring their missions to life and maximize their positive impact. DMC helps organizations build stronger relationships internally and externally, to create a more unified community that includes people with diverse backgrounds and identities.

We design strategies and tools to:

  • Train all stakeholders in communication skills to improve organizational climate and culture, increasing positive experiences for the community being served
  • Improve engagement and strengthen relationships between organizations and historically marginalized communities
  • Reevaluate the distribution of resources to maximize reach and access for historically marginalized communities
  • Coach board members on DEI issues and help design outcomes with actions
  • Customize successful DEI policies and processes supported by community stakeholders
  • Recruit, retain diverse stakeholders while creating a supportive environment that celebrates differences
  • Increase social and emotional leadership skills that inspire and unify all community members
  • Integrate DEI into the strategic goals of an organization with measurable outcomes
  • Develop a climate and culture assessment for a baseline understanding of where an organization is doing well and where they have opportunities to improve.

"Within the Institute, Mr. Mwano undertook major responsibilities to bridge multicultural issues and to ensure a safe, productive and respectful environment for the Delegation. In order to establish common discourse he brought a deep understanding and sensitivity to the complexities encountered by the delegates. His personal narrative and consummate professionalism also served as inspiration for educators when they returned to Pakistan to implement U.S. training amidst daily realities and challenges. That connectivity continues."

Allen Blakeman
Director of Pakistani Educational Leadership Institute

"Deo was willing to work with the Currier Museum of Art on a new program and did so thoughtfully and with an open mind. Not only did Deo bring professionalism to the event, but a unique form of engagement that encouraged others to think deeper and more holistically."
